About Thescelosaurus
Thescelosaurus is a genus of small, herbivorous dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 66 million years ago. It belonged to the group of dinosaurs known as ornithischians, which includes birds and other plant-eating dinosaurs. Thescelosaurus was a relatively small dinosaur, with an estimated length of about 6 meters (20 feet) and a weight of around 400 kg (880 lbs). It had a long, slender neck, a small head, and a long, thin tail. Its arms were short and its legs were long and slender, ending in hoofed toes. Thescelosaurus had a number of small, pointed teeth, suggesting that it ate a diet of tough, fibrous plants. It is thought to have lived in what is now North America, and a number of fossils have been found in the western United States.
