About Prosaurolophus
Prosaurolophus is a genus of hadrosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 76 to 74 million years ago. It was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived in what is now North America. It was a relatively small hadrosaur, with an estimated length of around 9 meters (30 feet) and a weight of about 1.5 tons. It had a distinctive, elongated head with a crest on the top, which was used for display and possibly for vocalization. It had a beak and numerous teeth for grinding plant material, and walked on two legs. It is known from fossil remains found in Alberta, Canada and Montana, United States.
