About Mapusaurus
Mapusaurus is a large carnivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 70 million years ago. It was discovered in Argentina in the early 21st century and is thought to be closely related to the North American tyrannosaurid Albertosaurus. Mapusaurus was a bipedal dinosaur, meaning that it stood and walked on its hind legs. It had a long, low skull with large, powerful jaws and sharp teeth that were adapted for tearing flesh. The size of Mapusaurus is uncertain, as the only known specimen is incomplete, but it is estimated to have been around 25-30 feet long and weighed around 2-3 tons.
