About Lesothosaurus

Lesothosaurus was a small, bipedal dinosaur that lived during the Early Jurassic period, around 200 million years ago. It was a member of the Ornithischia, a group of herbivorous dinosaurs that included ceratopsians, stegosaurs, and ornithopods. Lesothosaurus was a relatively primitive ornithischian, characterized by its small size, gracile build, and long, slender legs. It had a small head with a long, narrow snout and a pair of large, forward-facing eyes. Its mouth was lined with rows of small, sharp teeth, which it likely used to slice through tough plant material. It is known from several complete skeletons found in South Africa, and is thought to have inhabited open, grassy habitats where it fed on low-lying vegetation.
