About Tylocephale
Tylocephale is a genus of pachycephalosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now North America. It is known from fragmentary remains found in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Alberta, Canada. Pachycephalosaurids were small to medium-sized herbivorous dinosaurs characterized by their thickened skull domes, which may have been used for display or head-butting behavior. Tylocephale is known only from a partial skull, which suggests that it was a relatively small pachycephalosaurid. Its skull dome was relatively tall and narrow, with a distinctive ridge running down the center. It is thought to have been closely related to other North American pachycephalosaurids such as Stegoceras and Pachycephalosaurus.
