About Tarbosaurus
Tarbosaurus is a genus of tyrannosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period, about 70-65 million years ago. It is closely related to the North American tyrannosaurids, such as Tyrannosaurus and Albertosaurus. Tarbosaurus was a large, bipedal predator, with a short, powerful neck, and a large head equipped with sharp, serrated teeth. It likely preyed on other dinosaurs, including hadrosaurs, ceratopsians, and sauropods. Fossils of Tarbosaurus have been found in China, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. It was one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs known from the Late Cretaceous, measuring about 12-13 meters (40-43 feet) in length and weighing around 4-5 metric tons.
