About Pelorosaurus

Pelorosaurus was a genus of sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, about 130 million years ago. It was a large plant-eating dinosaur, with an estimated length of around 20 meters (65 feet). Pelorosaurus had a long neck, a small head, and a long tail, which it may have used to balance itself while walking on its four thick legs. It had small, peg-like teeth that were adapted for cropping vegetation. Pelorosaurus likely lived in a variety of habitats, including forests, swamps, and floodplains, and it may have traveled in herds for protection from predators. It is known from fossils found in England and possibly also in Tanzania.
