About Panoplosaurus

Panoplosaurus was a genus of armored dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 75 million years ago. It was a member of the nodosaurid family, which is characterized by their heavily armored bodies. Panoplosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that likely lived in herds, and it used its armor as protection against predators. Its armor consisted of thick, bony plates that covered its body, as well as spines and spikes on its head, neck, and tail. It also had a distinctive, elongated snout that may have been used for rooting through vegetation. Panoplosaurus was a relatively large dinosaur, with some specimens estimated to have reached lengths of up to 30 feet (9 meters). It was discovered in Canada and has also been found in the United States.
