About Unenlagia

Unenlagia is a genus of small to medium-sized theropod dinosaur that lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 70-65 million years ago. It is known from a few fragmentary fossil remains, including bones from the legs, pelvis, and spine, which were found in Argentina. Unenlagia was a member of the group known as Coahuilaceratopsidae, which also includes the closely related genera Coahuilaceratops and Nedcolbertia. These dinosaurs were characterized by their elongated and slender limbs, which suggest that they may have been agile runners. It is not known exactly how large Unenlagia was, but it is estimated to have reached lengths of around 5-6 meters (16-20 feet) and weighed between 500-1000 kg (1100-2200 lbs). It is thought to have been a predatory dinosaur that hunted small to medium-sized prey.
