About Noasaurus

Noasaurus is a genus of small, carnivorous theropod dinosaur that lived in what is now Argentina during the Late Cretaceous period, about 93 to 89 million years ago. It is known from partial remains, including a skull and a few vertebrae, that were found in the Bajo de la Carpa Formation in the province of Chubut. Noasaurus was a small dinosaur, with an estimated length of about 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) and a weight of around 20 kilograms (44 lbs). It had a narrow skull with long, sharp teeth, and its front limbs were relatively short and slender, with three fingers on each hand. Noasaurus was likely a fast, agile hunter that preyed on small animals and may have also scavenged for food. It is classified within the group Coelurosauria, which includes other small, feathered theropods such as velociraptor and tyrannosaurus.
