About Segisaurus

Segisaurus is a small, agile dinosaur that lived during the Early Jurassic period, about 201 to 190 million years ago. It was a theropod, a group of dinosaurs that includes carnivorous species like Tyrannosaurus and Allosaurus. Segisaurus had long, slender legs and a long, flexible neck, which may have helped it to move quickly and catch small prey. It had a small head with sharp teeth, suggesting that it was a carnivore. Segisaurus is known from a single specimen found in Arizona in the United States, which includes a partial skull and some limb bones.
