About Probactrosaurus

Probactrosaurus is a genus of dinosaur that lived in what is now China during the Early Cretaceous period, about 145-100 million years ago. It was a herbivorous ornithopod, meaning that it was a bipedal, plant-eating dinosaur with a beaked skull. Probactrosaurus was a relatively small dinosaur, measuring about 3 meters (10 feet) long and weighing around 300 kilograms (660 pounds). It had a long, low skull with a triangular beak and large, leaf-shaped teeth in the back of the jaw, which it likely used to grind up tough plant matter. It also had a small frill on the back of its head and a row of spines running down its back. Probactrosaurus is known from several well-preserved fossils, including complete skeletons, which have helped scientists learn more about the anatomy and behavior of this dinosaur.
