About Hylaeosaurus

Hylaeosaurus is a genus of armored dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, approximately 130-100 million years ago. It was a small, herbivorous dinosaur that stood on four legs and had a body that was covered in bony plates and spikes. Hylaeosaurus had a short, triangular head with a pointed snout and small, sharp teeth that were probably used for biting off and chewing plants. It had a relatively long neck and a broad, sturdy body that was supported by robust, column-like legs. The bony plates on its back and flanks were arranged in rows and may have served as armor against predators, while the spikes on its tail were probably used for defense. Hylaeosaurus is known from a number of well-preserved specimens that have been found in Europe and Asia.
