Description: Yimenosaurus is a genus of small, herbivorous dinosaurs that lived during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 156 to 145 million years ago. It was a member of the ornithopod family and is known from fossils found in China. Yimenosaurus had a small head with a beak and a series of small, leaf-shaped teeth. It had a long neck and a relatively large body, with four sturdy legs and a long, thin tail. Its arms were short and had three fingers on each hand, which may have been used to grasp plants. Yimenosaurus is thought to have been an agile runner and may have lived in herds. It is known from a few fragmentary fossils, including some partial skeletons and isolated bones, which have been found in the Yimen County of Yunnan Province in China.
