About Udanoceratops

Udanoceratops is a genus of ceratopsid dinosaur that lived in what is now Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous period, about 80 million years ago. It is known from a single specimen that was discovered in the Nemegt Formation. Udanoceratops is a small ceratopsid, with an estimated length of about 3 meters (10 feet). It had a short, pointed snout and a relatively large frill on the back of its head. The frill was adorned with small, spiky protuberances and had a pair of large, curving horns at the sides. Udanoceratops also had a pair of long, slender horns above its eyes. It likely used its horns and frill for display and possibly for defense against predators. It is thought to have been a herbivore, feeding on plants and possibly small animals.
