About Styracosaurus

Styracosaurus was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period, about 75-65 million years ago. It was a member of the ceratopsid family, which included other well-known dinosaurs such as Triceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus. Styracosaurus had a distinctive appearance, with a large, rounded frill on the back of its head and a series of sharp spikes running along the frill and down its back. It also had a pair of long, pointed horns on its nose and a smaller pair on its brow. The function of these horns and spikes is not well understood, but they may have been used for display or defense. Styracosaurus was around 20 feet long and weighed around 5 tons. It lived in what is now western North America and may have roamed in herds.
