Description: Rhoetosaurus is a genus of large herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Early Jurassic period, around 199 to 190 million years ago. It was a member of the sauropodomorph group of dinosaurs, which also included sauropods and other long-necked, four-legged herbivores. Rhoetosaurus was characterized by its long neck, small head, and relatively short tail. It had a distinctive narrow and triangular skull with large, protruding eyes, which may have been an adaptation for foraging for food. Rhoetosaurus had a relatively small brain for its size and is thought to have had limited cognitive abilities. It probably walked on all fours, but may have been able to rear up on its hind legs to reach higher branches. Rhoetosaurus is known from a single specimen discovered in Queensland, Australia, which includes parts of the skull, spine, and pelvis.
