About Qijianglong
Qijianglong is a genus of basal neosauropod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, about 130-125 million years ago. It was discovered in the Qijiang District of Chongqing, China, in 2007, and was named after the location where it was found. Qijianglong was a large plant-eating dinosaur, with an estimated length of around 20 meters (66 feet) and a weight of around 15-20 tons. It had a long neck and a small head, with a beak-like snout and teeth that were adapted for grinding plant material. Its body was supported by four thick legs, and it probably had a long tail to help balance its body. Qijianglong was a member of the sauropod group of dinosaurs, which includes some of the largest land animals to have ever lived. It is known from a single partial skeleton, which includes parts of the skull, vertebrae, and limb bones.
