Description: Piatnitzkysaurus is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, around 150 million years ago. It was a medium-sized, bipedal predator with a long, slender skull and sharp, serrated teeth. The name Piatnitzkysaurus comes from the Piatnitzky Quarry in Argentina, where the first specimen of the dinosaur was discovered in 1994. The only known species of Piatnitzkysaurus is Piatnitzkysaurus floresi. Some researchers have suggested that Piatnitzkysaurus may be a species of Allosaurus, although this is not widely accepted.
