Description: Patagosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, around 150 million years ago. It was a member of the sauropod group, which includes some of the largest and most massive dinosaurs to have ever existed. Patagosaurus was characterized by its long neck, small head, and four sturdy legs. It likely had a long tail that it used for balance while walking. Based on the size of its bones, Patagosaurus was thought to have been around 20-30 feet long and weighed several tons. Its diet probably consisted of a variety of plants, including ferns, cycads, and conifers. It is known from fossil remains found in Argentina, in the Patagonia region, hence its name.
