It was a small dinosaur, with an estimated length of about 1.5 meters (5 feet). Nqwebasaurus had long, slender legs and a long, narrow skull with sharp teeth, suggesting that it was a fast runner and an active predator. Its name, Nqwebasaurus, means 'Nqweba lizard,' after the Nqweba Conservancy in South Africa where the skeleton was found.
