Description: Muttaburrasaurus is a genus of herbivorous iguanodontid dinosaur that lived in what is now Australia during the Early Cretaceous period, about 120 million years ago. It was a medium-sized dinosaur, with an estimated length of around 5 meters (16 feet) and a weight of around 1 ton. It had a distinctive, narrow snout with a row of small, sharp teeth, and a long, curved tail. It walked on all fours and had sturdy, five-toed feet with hoofed toes. Its body was covered in small, osteoderms (bony plates) which may have provided some protection from predators. Muttaburrasaurus is known from a single specimen found in Queensland, Australia, and is named after the nearby town of Muttaburra.
