About Mussaurus

Mussaurus is a genus of sauropodomorph dinosaur that lived during the Late Triassic period, about 228 to 208 million years ago. It was a relatively small dinosaur, reaching only about 3 meters (10 feet) in length and weighing around 90 kilograms (200 pounds). It had a small head with small, sharp teeth, and a long neck and tail. Its body was supported by four long, slender legs, and it had long, narrow feet with five toes on each foot. Mussaurus is known from fossil remains found in South America, in present-day Argentina and Uruguay. It is thought to have been a herbivore, feeding on plants using its small, sharp teeth to bite off and chew small pieces of vegetation.
