About Mosasaurus
Mosasaurus was a large, carnivorous marine reptile that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 70-66 million years ago. It was one of the last members of the mosasaur family, a group of marine lizards that were well-adapted to life in the ocean. Mosasaurus had a long, streamlined body with four paddle-like limbs, a powerful tail, and a pointed snout filled with sharp teeth. It was an efficient swimmer and preyed on a variety of marine animals, including fish, turtles, and other reptiles. Mosasaurus is known from fossil remains found in North America, Europe, and Africa.
