About Masiakasaurus
Masiakasaurus is a small, meat-eating dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago. It was a member of the group known as theropods, which includes modern birds and other carnivorous dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus and Velociraptor. Masiakasaurus was a relatively small theropod, with an estimated length of around 3.5 meters (11.5 feet). It had a long, narrow snout with sharp teeth, and may have had a crest on its head. Masiakasaurus was discovered on the island of Madagascar, where it lived alongside other dinosaurs such as the plant-eating sauropod Rapetosaurus. It is thought to have been an agile predator that hunted small prey such as lizards and mammals.
