About Liliensternus

Liliensternus is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived during the Early Jurassic period, about 199 to 190 million years ago. It was a relatively small dinosaur, measuring about 6 meters (20 feet) long and weighing about 400 kilograms (880 pounds). It had a long, low skull with large, sharp teeth, and long, slender legs. It is believed to have been a fast runner, and may have hunted small prey such as lizards, mammals, and possibly even other small dinosaurs. It is known from several well-preserved fossil specimens found in Germany.
